New Domain Names - .my Extension
We wish to advise that MYNIC (the Malaysian Domain Registrar) has opened the process for .my domain registration. You can now have a domain name with just .my extension (rather than .com.my)
MYNIC’s registration process provides a first right of refusal for existing .com.my domain owners. For example, if you own xyz123.com.my, then you would have a first right over xyz123.my before anyone else can register. The Priority Period available for the .com.my owner extends to 31 December 2007.
Registration cost for .my is RM120 per year. Unlike .com.my, registration is also open to individuals who are more than 18 years of age. Minors are required to obtain parental consent.
