Creating Alias in SmarterMail
Posted by admin | No commentsIf you have a Contact List and wish to break your contacts into several categories, one way to do it is using the Alias function in SmarterMail. For example, you may want to break your contacts into the following categories: Family, Friends, Associates and so on.
Say your domain name is mycompany.com. So you can create the following Alias:
family@mycompany.com
friends@mycompany.com
associates@mycompany.com
In each of these Alias, just key in all the email addresses that belong to that category.
To send out to your Friends group for example, just email to friends@mycompany.com and the system will automatically send to all those contacts you listed under your Friends category.
Note that these are not real email addresses, they are simply Alias.

To create an Alias, login as admin then:
1. Click on Settings
2. In the left menu click on Domain Settings – Alias.
3. To create a new Alias, click on New in the centre screen and follow the steps there.
That’s it! Give it a try and see how easy it is to manage your contacts.
